Orlando’s best areas to live in

One of the factors driving thousands to Orlando and our surrounding neighborhoods is the fact that we have some of the best and most well rounded communities a city could have. To the north, east, south and west of Orlando you’ll find fantastic central Florida neighborhoods that each have their own great and unique traits which keep people flocking to them.

We’ve talked about making your move to our area code throughout the past few weeks but this still leaves us with one unanswered question around your move. Which community do you want to move to and why? Let’s talk about the great communities around our city and what makes them worth becoming a part of.

1. Downtown Orlando

Because we are about to dive into the good and bad traits of our Orlando suburbs, it only feels right that we start with Downtown Orlando itself. Our downtown area embodies all of the great qualities that a thriving city should. Downtown Orlando is a lively, diverse, exciting and growing city with endless things for you to do.

If you’re looking for city living that comes alongside abundant career opportunities, a great nightlife and general practicality, this area may be the perfect new home for you. The city has one of our countries highest employment rates, countless restaurants and bars, as well as some great organizations built around gathering like-minded individuals looking to make new connections and/or progress in their careers.

For those who may be moving to the area to raise a family or who are simply looking for a quieter neighborhood, Downtown may not be ideal for you. Luckily we have a few great communities right around the corner that you’ll love.

2. Winter Park

I may hold a small bias for the Winter Park area. I am in the real estate business and Winter Park is known for some of Florida’s most unique and beautiful properties, and also I grew up here, but Winter Park is an absolute gem and loved by all of Orlando.

Our Winter Park area is known for its beloved shopping, historic brick roads, beautiful estates, lakes and golf courses. I love that this community is just a few miles from Downtown Orlando; quiet and neighborly but still only minutes away from the liveliness of the urban area. This town is full of beautiful lakefront parks, historic monuments and walking trails creating tons of opportunity for us outdoor lovers to enjoy the fresh air and nature filled views. The combination of this and our abundance of fine dining, fun bars and diverse shopping makes this community one of my favorites and you’ll undoubtedly love it as well.

3. Baldwin Park

With tons of great restaurants, shopping and outdoor activities, Baldwin Park is another awesome Orlando Suburb that we love. The Baldwin Park community is absolutely beautiful and presents a feeling of an urban/suburban mix. There are tons of beautiful homes available in Baldwin Park whether you are looking to rent or buy. This is a bit quieter than Winter Park and is known to have fantastic schools which makes this area fantastic to raise a family.

If you are a young professional looking for a new community with opportunity and things to do, this is a great place for you as well. I often visit the various coffee shops and Parks that are a part of Baldwin and can honestly say that if I had to move, it would be to this area. Being another diverse community with everything you could ask for, Baldwin park is absolutely worth looking in while you decide where you want to make your next move.

4. Celebration

Celebration is a great community right next to our beloved Orlando theme parks. Being this town is in such a prime location, it's a given that there are endless things for you to enjoy doing. Celebration is such a well kept area with tons of beautiful townhomes, apartments and single family houses. The area presents a super cool vibe embodying the colonial and mediterranean influence that it was built around. We love this area and everything that comes with living here.
