Why Central Florida?

At only seven years old my family made the move from south Florida to Orlando, making this 17 years of my life spent in our beautiful city. To this day, I love Central Florida, Orlando and all that this hotspot has to offer.

It’s no surprise that Orlando and our surrounding areas are some of the most popular and beloved destinations in the United States, and that families from all over the world continue to flock here in search of some sun, fun and endless opportunity to enjoy their day-to-day lives. We talk a bit more about this exodus to Florida and cities like Orlando here: https://www.davidblainehomes.com/post/fleeing-to-florida

If you’re considering a move to Central Florida, this is for you. Let’s talk about some of this amazing areas' perks, and some of the things I have loved so much about living here.

Affordability

Before we talk about all of the fun things you envision when you think of Orlando and Central Florida, let’s talk about one of the reasons people love Florida and our state’s cities when it comes to optimizing their financial situations. We have a 0% state income tax here in Florida. None of your hard earned income is taken away from you in the form of state income tax. This is a huge perk and very attractive to anybody who wants to save money (likely all of us). Food, clothing, utilities and other basic expenses are also cheaper than the United States average, leaving you with more cash in your pocket.

Weather

If you’re looking for a new home in Florida, especially if you’re coming from another state, one of your likely reasons for relocation is for our pleasant weather. If you’re like me and you enjoy the fresh air and outdoors, this is the perfect place for you. Whether you like to golf, run, or chill out by the lake, our consistent sunshine and warm weather will allow you to spend your days outside, without the inconveniences of snow, freezing temperatures or constant rain. The occasional rainy days here have nothing on the fantastic climate that you think of when thinking about Orlando.

Close Beaches

Although we don’t have an ocean or a beach in Orlando, living here comes with the benefit of being just a short drive away from multiple world renowned and beautiful beaches. Within the last few years I've enjoyed countless weekends on the sand and on the water, as a quick drive brings me from the city of Orlando, to beaches like New Smyrna, Daytona, Ponce Inlet, Cocoa Beach and more. If you’re an investor in real estate you’ll love the new opportunities that come with being close to such destinations.

In conclusion…

This blog would be 100 pages long if I wrote about every great thing there is to do in this area, but our state and cities affordability, amazing weather and nearby beaches alone make this place worth living in. Basically, if you enjoy the outdoors, great restaurants, professional sports, amusement parks, shopping of all kinds, nightlife or even just a walk in your local Central Florida park, you’ll love the city of Orlando and our surrounding areas.
